The great return of COVID-19, over 1,300 cases in 24 hours. Those in power are conferring
A meeting with the Minister of Health regarding the epidemiological situation is underway. The daily report indicates 1,331 new COVID-19 infections and 3 deaths.
There is a lot of emotion around SARS-CoV-2 again. The Ministry of Health announced that a new coronavirus vaccine will be available on the Polish pharmaceutical market from December 6. The preparation will be adapted to combat the Kraken (XBB) variant. Information about a meeting regarding the current epidemiological situation with the participation of the Minister of Health, Katarzyna Sójka, also appeared on Twitter.
What is the meeting about?
Even though a report on coronavirus infections is published every day on government websites, messages about it have not appeared on social media on the official profiles of the Ministry of Health for a long time. Just a few months ago, the Ministry published disease statistics every day. Will he return to this practice after today’s meeting? The ministry’s management, department directors and representatives of subordinate units, as well as experts, also take part in this – according to a message on social media.

How does COVID-19 manifest itself?
The infectious season is in full swing. More and more coughing and sneezing patients appear in clinics. However, hardly anyone wears a mask, ignoring the threat of COVID-19. And this manifests itself, among others, in: high fever, chills and muscle pain, runny nose, cough, stuffy nose, loss of smell or taste disturbances.
“We are in the epicenter of the disease and precautions must be taken. If you don’t want to get sick, wear a mask. Let anyone who is sick stay at home. Anyone who has symptoms and must leave the house should wear a mask”- appealed in his YouTube program Paweł Grzesiowski, M.D., an expert of the Supreme Medical Council on Epidemic Threats. He has already said that the autumn will be marked by COVID-19, and those in power should make specific decisions.
Despite the lack of a top-down order, it is worth following the principle: “distance, disinfection, mask”. Especially since new mutations of the virus are very contagious. The Omicron BA.2.86 variant has a new mutation called JN.1 (so far detected in France, Portugal, UK and USA). There are also new derivatives called JN.2 and JN.3.
