While some authorities were not so lucky and will have to defend their seats in the second round, others probably already have seats in municipal offices and can breathe a sigh of relief. Here are all the provincial cities where the first round was enough.

Lublin – Żuk wins in the first round of local elections

The undisputed winner in Lublin was Krzysztof Żuk, a member of the Civic Platform, who ran in the elections under his own banner. He won 57.49 percent of the votes.

The second place, which was not enough to advance to the extra time, was taken by the Law and Justice candidate, Robert Derewenda. He won 34.26 percent. votes.

Katowice – Krupa wins in the first round of local elections
