Sleeping capsule at Chopin Airport. “Price from space”

Sleeping capsule at Chopin Airport. "Price from space"

Chopin Airport thought about travelers who have a long layover or arrived earlier and want to wait comfortably for their flight. The recently launched sleeping capsule would be welcomed by passengers if it were not for the price to be paid for the opportunity to rest.

– Do you have a long layover? Or maybe you arrived early and want to wait comfortably for your flight? Now you can use a sleeping capsule at Chopin Airport – we read in a message posted on the airport’s Facebook profile.

Sleeping capsule. Who can benefit?

The sleeping capsule is a special zone which – as Chopin Airport explains – was created for passengers traveling through Warsaw in transit. However, it is also available to all travelers flying from Warsaw to countries outside the Schengen area.

– The capsules have a comfortable mattress and are over 220 cm long, so everyone will be able to use them comfortably. The price includes, apart from the opportunity to rest, a blindfold, earplugs, slippers, a pillow and a blanket – stated in the announcement.

Travelers do not have to worry about what will happen to their luggage during their rest. – There is a special compartment under the mattress that can accommodate a cabin suitcase – informs the airport. – Travelers who purchase accommodation in the capsule will also be able to use a high-class massage chair free of charge – it was added.

What prices?

How much does it cost to rest in a capsule? You have to pay PLN 60 for one hour, PLN 110 for two hours. Each additional started hour costs PLN 40.

In the comments below the announcement, many Internet users pay attention to the issue of price.

“The prices are off”, “In a five-star hotel, a day is cheaper with breakfast”, “The idea is great, but the price is exorbitant” – these are just some of the comments. However, there are also opinions that the sleeping capsule is “something that has been missing at Chopin Airport since years”.

For now, the sleeping pod will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. At a later stage, however, it will operate 24 hours a day.
