The new player on the Polish fuel market is gaining more and more customers. The holiday promotion of petrol and gas prices turned out to be a lure. We have just exceeded 300,000 registered users in our MOL Move loyalty program, informs the Hungarian company. This result was achieved within a few weeks.

MOL Group entered the Polish market at the end of last year. This was possible thanks to the finalization of the transaction with Orlen and Grupa Lotos. The Hungarian company then took over 410 stations previously operating under the Lotos brand. The foreign concern began a rapid expansion. In the first days of February, the company launched the first petrol station under its name. Within six months, the company announced the opening of further facilities.

Currently, there are almost 60 petrol stations operating on Polish roads under the brand of the Hungarian concern. By the end of the summer, there will be 100 petrol stations operating under the MOL brand throughout Poland. However, this is not the end of the ambitious plans of the Hungarian company, which openly admits that it would like to have up to 600 stations in Poland in the next five years.

In addition to the rebranding of the acquired Lotos stations, which will last another year and a half, the company focuses on numerous marketing activities and promotions of its products. In the summer race for fuel price reductions, the Hungarian company replaced the previous Navigator program by introducing a new promotion, which outperformed Orlen’s offer. Thanks to the application, drivers will refuel from 35 to 45 PLN/l cheaper – as we reported on Wprost.pl.

On the other hand, at Orlen stations, users of the Vitay loyalty program pay PLN 0.30 cheaper for each liter of fuel. Holders of the Large Family Card can count on a greater discount. For them, there is a discount of PLN 0.40 on each liter refueled within the limit. The promotion is also valid at Lotos stations, which belong to the Hungarian company, but have not changed their sign yet. Price discounts quickly appealed to drivers.

In our MOL Move loyalty program, we just passed 300,000 registered users in just three weeks from launch – says Wojciech Szejna, marketing director of MOL Polska in an interview with Wprost.pl. – This is a clear proof that our offer meets the key expectations of customers, including the promotional reduction of fuel prices to PLN 0.45 per liter he adds. As he points out, the implementation of the application was preceded by intensive market analyses, and experienced specialists from Poland and other MOL Group countries were involved in the project. However, the company’s activities do not end there.

In the second half of July, the network introduced the so-called fixed benefit levels. As part of the loyalty program, customers collect points, and after crossing a specific threshold, they are promoted to the next level. Then they will receive permanent discounts on fuel, meals, drinks and car wash. The greatest benefits can be obtained by drivers who reach the VIP level.

At the end of June, Daniel Obajtek, the president of the multi-energy giant, announced a holiday promotion for fuel. He noted that the reduction in gasoline prices will be valid for two months – from June 30 to August 31, 2023. Almost all the biggest players on the market reacted to the summer reduction in fuel prices by introducing new price lists.

Drivers collect points as part of loyalty programs offered e.g. through stations: Circle K, BP Polska, Shell, Moya and Amic Energy. Every day, several hundred thousand drivers take advantage of holiday discounts on fuel. The data shows that every third refueling is covered by a promotional price. The number of downloaded applications, thanks to which you can receive discounts, is growing exponentially.
