IEM Expo 2024 zone and additional events. What awaits esports fans?

Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024, one of the largest esports events in Poland, has officially opened! Over the weekend, from Friday to Sunday (February 9-11), esports tournament participants have a chance to experience incredible emotions and attractions at Spodek in Katowice and the International Congress Center (MCK). Here’s what awaits gaming fans and cosplayers at this unique event.

Counter-Strike 2 and StarCraft 2 are the games that dominate at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 in Spodek and MCK. The best players in the world came to Katowice, ready to compete for the cup and a record prize pool.

Top teams will compete in a completely new version of the game, Counter-Strike 2. The winner will make esports history by lifting the prestigious IEM Katowice trophy in front of tens of thousands of fans and taking part of the prize pool, which this year is $1,000,000 .

The organizers, in cooperation with partners, have also prepared a wide range of attractions as part of the free trade fair zone – IEM Expo. The space is filled with stands that give visitors the opportunity to take part in esports tournaments, learn about the latest technologies, win prizes in competitions, or relax in relaxation zones.

Exhibitors and Attractions at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice and IEM Expo 2024

We have prepared a list of some of the attractions that await visitors in the Expo zone:

EURO AGD RTV zone: 12 stations with powerful laptops, 2 driving simulators and 2 flight simulators. There will be mini tournaments and competitions every day. Additionally, the GAME ZONE will feature influencers from the world of gaming, such as Jarek “Pasha” Jarząbkowski, Piotr “Izak” Skowyrski, streamer “Nieuczesana”, and Mateusz “Szakal” from TechnoStrefa.
Nałęczowianka Zone: A special chillout zone with Nałęczowianka natural mineral water and Nał+ functional drinks.
Upper Silesia-Zagłębie Metropolis Zone: Designated rest area both in the MCK corridor and in the Spodek Rotunda.
LEXAR Zone: Mini-tournaments in games such as Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends and EA SPORTS FC™ 24, brand quizzes and attractive prizes such as RAM kits and SSD drives.
Batcat Shop stand: Full of magic and darkness, offering handmade anime and fantasy items.
Farming Simulator 22 stand: For simulator fans, the opportunity to play the latest installment of the series and meet YouTuber Husiek.
ESL free2play zone: Tournaments for participants, Monster Energy stage, cosplay competition.
ESL free2play zone powered by Doritos: Activations with influencers and meetings with players such as Snax, Szpero, and Innocent. Additionally, CS2 tournaments in DeathMatch mode and delicious Doritos snacks.
OMEN & HyperX Zone: Events and quizzes with prizes, clashes with influencers, field game and League of Legends tournament.
Katowice City Zone: The final tournament of the Esports School League, where the stake is full equipment of a computer room for the facility represented by the winning team.
Heineken Zone: Sim racing competition, where winning gives you a chance to take part in the final in Warsaw and go to the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at the Monza track.
Nintendo booth: Playing a variety of titles on Nintendo Switch, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Legend of Zelda.
Microsoft Zone: Gaming stations with top games available in the PC Game Pass service, quizzes with prizes and meetings with cosplayers.
