However, Fortnite will come to iPhones. The game's creators reached an agreement with Apple
It seems that this is the end of the dispute between Epic Games and Apple, and Fortnite will appear on iPhones and iPads.
Everything indicates that the dispute between Epic Games and Apple, which has been covered in the industry media around the world in recent days, has been temporarily resolved. It was, as usual, about money, but the presence of Fortnite on iPhones will not suffer.
Fortnite will return to iPhone
Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, recently accused Apple of violating US antitrust laws by charging up to thirty percent commissions on payments in Epic Games applications in the iOS ecosystem. As a result of the dispute, the Epic Games account in the Apple system for developers was even closed, which was quite a decisive step on the part of the Californian giant.
The case went to court and for a moment it seemed that this would result in the iPhone and iPad versions of Fortnite being unable to be played in Europe. Meanwhile, the following statement quickly appeared on the Internet.
“Apple has informed us and committed to the European Commission to restore our developer account. We are proceeding as planned by launching the Epic Games Store and restoring Fortnite on iOS in Europe,” Epic Games wrote in one of its communication channels.
It seems that the dispute between Epic Games and Apple is over, at least in the context of the situation of mobile Fortnite on iOS in Europe.
Fortnite is currently one of the most popular computer games in the world. According to recent data, it is currently played by over 400 million people around the world. It is also very popular in Poland.
