Construction and assembly production increased by 3.5% in August. year to year, most since February. The increased pace of work may be related to the fact that in a few months the time will expire to use EU funds from the 2014-2020 budget.
Construction and assembly production in August increased in real terms (i.e. at constant prices) by 3.5%. year to year after an increase of 1.1%. in July and 1.5 percent in June. “Thursday’s data confirms that infrastructure investments are currently the driving force of construction. Production in the “construction of civil engineering facilities” category increased by 11.8% in August. year to year, the same as in July. These are the best results since February,” we read in “Rzeczpospolita”.
Economists interviewed by the newspaper believe that the rush to implement investment projects is due to the fact that this is the last year to use funds from the 2014-2020 budget.
