The first major premiere this year from the Chinese electronics giant is the Xiaomi 14 smartphone, which has already debuted on its home market and will be available globally on February 25, 2024. It is a direct competitor to top Android models from Samsung or Oppo, and for many people it is also a much cheaper, but no less good alternative to the latest iPhone. In addition, Xiaomi is preparing the premiere of another flagship model, which, compared to the basic one, will stand out primarily with its advanced photographic capabilities.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra with a Leica camera
This second flagship from the popular Chinese manufacturer is a model called Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is expected to be one of the most expensive smartphones on the market. This particularly high price is said to be due to the use of very advanced components, mainly lenses from the well-known and recognized Leica brand.
The MySmartPrice website has just published the first renders of Xiaomi 14 Ultra, where you can see the back panel of the smartphone with a large round island with four Leica camera lenses.
What is the reason for the exceptionally high price of Xiaomi 14 Ultra? In addition to the Leica camera (the four-lens configuration is not yet known), the smartphone will be built exclusively from premium components, and it's not just about its electronics. The device has a leather back and is surrounded by a titanium frame known from top models from other manufacturers: iPhone 15 Pro from Apple and Galaxy S24 Ultra from Samsung.

From other leaks so far, we also know that Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2K screen (120 Hz), Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16 GB of RAM, 5300 mAh battery and up to 1 TB of built-in memory user data.
The premiere of the Ultra variant is to be officially announced on February 25, i.e. on the day of the global debut of the basic Xiaomi 14 model. Of course, its price is not known yet, but it is said that it will be one of the most expensive smartphones on the market.
