False start of Czesław Michniewicz in Saudi Arabia. Grzegorz Krychowiak did not help

Czesław Michniewicz undertook an interesting challenge after finishing his work as a coach of the Polish national football team. The coach led the White-Reds to the 1/8 finals of the World Cup in Qatar. However, this did not convince the PZPN leadership, which decided to part with the Polish coach and hire Fernando Santos.

It must be admitted that the transfer offensive of Saudi clubs this summer has gone to a higher level. So far, the most famous player in the Saudi Arabian league was Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese decided to move to the periphery of football, at least from a European point of view, in December 2022.

CR7 continues to be the face of the transformation of club football in the Saudi field. In the summer transfer window, however, several well-known figures joined the Portuguese. In addition to Cristiano, who plays for Al-Nassr, fans from Saudi Arabia can watch, for example, Karim Benzema live. That is, the winner of the “Golden Ball” for 2022, the recent star of Real Madrid. However, the Frenchman decided to move out of Europe. Former Royals sniper became Al-Ittihad player.

Neymar will move to Al-Hilal in a few days. The Brazilian chose the Saudis for Paris Saint-Germain, from which Lionel Messi recently “escaped” – albeit to the USA. Al-Hilal is a well-deserved club with plenty of money. Although the Brazilian was absent from the inauguration of the league, the line-up included m. another Brazilian Malcom, Portuguese Ruben Neves – and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was also brought in. The Serb has been a star of Serie A so far, defending the colors of Roman Lazio for years.

Al-Hilal kicked off the 2023/24 season with a 3-1 away win over Abha Club. That is, a team led by coach Michniewicz. Grzegorz Krychowiak, who joined the team in the summer of 2023, was also present in the colors of the hosts of the clash.

Abha Club compared to Al-Hilal certainly have different goals for the season in league competitions. Michniewicz and his team bravely faced the favorites on Monday evening. It was still 1:1 before the break, but in the second part, the above-mentioned Malcom summed up his spectacular performance. The Brazilian scored a hat-trick.

Interestingly, the assist with the honorable goal for Michniewicz’s team was scored by Krychowiak. The former Polish representative, however, did not manage to stop the favorite together with his colleagues. The next rounds will show whether Michniewicz’s marriage with the Saudi league was right. For now, you have to get around the taste in the context of league eyes for the inauguration.
