Earthquake in a state agency. The minister dismissed the entire management board
The head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, dismissed the entire management board of the Polish Agency for Development and Entrepreneurship. She assessed the institution as “sluggish, ineffective and undynamic.”
– Today I decided to dismiss the management board of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. This is the largest institution supporting entrepreneurs in Poland, said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.
Ineffective management
The head of the Ministry of Funds stated that the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development is not “degenerate”, but she described its actions as “slow, ineffective and lethargic”.
– This has to change. The literally “good morning” goal is to shorten the application processing time. Last November, the competition in which 3,000 applications were submitted ended and I learned from the PARP management board, which was dismissed today, that these applications would be considered for a year. This would mean that entrepreneurs will receive information about support a year after the competition ended, i.e. only in November this year. This is unacceptable, emphasized Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.
An important institution
Katarzyna Pełczyńska Nałęcz also emphasized that PARP is an extremely important institution and its proper operation is of key importance for the Polish economy, because huge funds flow through it to support Polish companies.
– In the financial perspective 2021-27, the amount from structural funds is PLN 20 billion. This year, PARP will have PLN 3.5 billion for entrepreneurs. This year, over 1,000 entrepreneurs should receive support from PARP, which is why it is so important that it is a dynamic, modern institution, facing entrepreneurs – said the head of the ministry.
