Albicla celebrates her first birthday. The number of users after a year is not impressive
A year ago, Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polska” and “Telewizja Republika”, as well as its owner, launched a competition for Facebook – the Albicla portal. 12 months later, the website looks as if only its creator and his companies were active on it.
Albicla was supposed to be the Polish answer to Facebook, where one of the most important values was freedom of speech, lack of censorship and ending the practice of banning entries that violate the regulations. Tomasz Sakiewicz cited the example of banning Donald Trump on Facebook and Twitter. Such events were not supposed to happen on Albicla. It was partially successful, Albicla moderators don’t ban anyone because almost no one uses the website.
At the time of launch, Tomasz Sakiewicz boasted of the enormous interest in the portal and the number of new users, which exceeded his expectations. He said then that the traffic generated by Albicla on the day of its launch exceeded the traffic on all right-wing websites. Within 24 hours of launch, 30,000 people registered on Albicla.
