Padel is a game divided into sets and games. The competition takes place on an artificial court, and the winner is the player who wins two sets. This discipline had its origins in Mexico, and its creation dates back to 1969. It had to wait until it reached Spain to flourish, where it is now one of the most popular sports. It is also becoming more and more popular in Poland, and the national championships were held in Warsaw on December 2 and 3.

It was attended by, among others: Agnieszka Radwańska and Jerzy Janowicz, who transferred their tennis experience to paddle courts. They managed to reach the finals of the competition. The tennis player played in pair with Maciej Naduk and in the final they defeated Mateusz Lipiński/Gabriel Biliński 6:0, 6:2. The retired tennis player formed a duo with Marta Domachowska and in the decisive match they lost to the duo Aleksandra Rosolska/Zofia Piórkowska. The match ended with the score 6:4, 7:6.

The best there were the Spaniards David Gala and Daniel Santigosa. The women’s competition was won by Italians Carolina Orsi and Giorgia Marchetti.
