Aleksander Zniszczoł is slowly starting preparations for the new season. The best Polish competitor of last season admitted that he missed jumping. In his opinion, now is the most important moment.

Last World Cup season was unsuccessful for Polish jumpers. The best of the white and red team was Aleksander Zniszczoł, who in the end outshone his more experienced and titled colleagues. Our representative stood on the podium twice and was ranked highest in the general PS classification.

Aleksander Zniszczoł: I rested mentally

Even though the World Cup has recently ended, Thomas Thurnbichler's players are slowly starting preparations for next winter and the next World Cup competitions. Just before the start of training and the first tests, skijumping.pl journalists talked to the Polish representative – Aleksander Zniszczoł, who told how he spent his time after the last competition in Planica.

– I rested mentally, although after Planica I was really busy every weekend. There is a lot to do, but I played in the garden, played with my daughter and spent time with my family – he admitted.

– It was a long and intense season. With bumps, but it ended very well for me. I think there was still fuel for about two competitions, but I was glad that the winter was over because it was a demanding season, he added.

Aleksander Zniszczoł also talked about preparations for the next season. – This is a very important moment, because now is the time to gain strength and do more strength training. This is the period of building a base for the winter. Last year's summer was good, but… it wasn't. At some point something broke and I fought for a long time to get it back, but it did, he said.

– I will stick to the chosen path and consistently continue the way I worked and jumped. I kept moving forward and I don't want to stop. I missed jumping a bit – he finished.
