Hołownia will refund 800+? “We’ll have to think about it.”

Divergence in the Third Way
Szymon Hołownia, one of the leaders of the Third Way, is against the valorization of the 500 Plus program. His formation voted against increasing the benefit amount.
In turn, the chairman of PSL and the second leader of the Third Way, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, has a different opinion on this matter. At the end of August, during a speech at Campus Polska, he said that every parent “should be guaranteed PLN 500 for social security, and those who work should receive PLN 800.” – We will introduce it when we come to power. This will be the time of active people. professionally, a better future for employees and employers – said Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Valorization 500+
At the beginning of August, President Andrzej Duda signed an act on the indexation of the 500 plus benefit to PLN 800 from 2024. Parents can expect the first transfer in the increased amount by February 29 next year, with compensation from January 1, 2024.
The Ministry of Family and Social Policy would like to remind you that the change in the amount of the parental benefit from PLN 500 to PLN 800 will be made ex officio and will not require issuing a decision or submitting additional applications.
