Do adults think Thunberg is “angry”? The 16-year-old replied
16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg said adults should stop “upsetting” young people about global warming. The teenager spoke upon her arrival in Lisbon, Portugal, after more than two weeks traveling across the Atlantic.
Greta Thunberg is on her way to the COP25 climate summit in Madrid. In Lisbon, she responded to the statement of one of the journalists who recalled that some adults consider her to be “angry”. – We are angry, we are frustrated and for good reasons. If they want us to stop being mad, maybe they should stop annoying us, the teenager said. “People underestimate the power of upset children,” she said.
Greta Thunberg travels to Spain by catamaran. Apart from her, on board there are Australian YouTubers Riley Whitlum and Elayna Carausu, as well as British Nikki Henderson, who is a professional sailor. The catamaran they use uses solar panels and water generators. However, many commentators pointed out that Henderson had flown from the UK to the US to make the trip with Thunberg.
