Condohotel in the old Granaries. New investment in Gdańsk

A new hotel in the condo model will be built on the Granary Island in Gdańsk at Chmielna Street, in buildings that once housed the Wielki and Mały Groddeck granaries.

Grand Hotel Gdańsk will be built on the Granary Island on the Motława River. A four-star condo facility will be located at Chmielna Street, next to the bridge connecting the island with the Old Town. The investor is Supernova Development.

– The facility will meet the standards of a four-star hotel. There is also a luxurious and modern wellness center and SPA with a swimming pool. The offer will include almost 340 hotel premises and apartments of various sizes (20-60 sq m), says Maciej Zientara, founder of Supernova Development.

The investment will be located in the buildings of the former Grand and Mały Groddeck granaries, which have been unused for many years, as well as two buildings in a similar architectural style added on both sides. The buildings located right on the river offer a view of the Old Town. Marcin Kozikowski from KD Kozikowski Design, who is the author of many modernizations on the island, is responsible for the project. The investment is scheduled to be put into operation at the beginning of 2021. The renovation of the Krowie Bridge is also part of the project, which will be partially financed by the city.

The northern part of Granary Island has so far been a barren area for investment. Recently, however, it has become very attractive. More buildings are planned here. According to trojmiasto.pl, five buildings are currently being built on the island and will be used as hotels. These include the Radisson hotel, Ibis Budget, and Holiday Inn.
