They asked Tusk whether Kamiński and Wąsik should go to prison. The Prime Minister made the matter clear

Donald Tusk referred to the plans to detain Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński. The Prime Minister is sure about one thing. – Politicians do not replace the courts – replied the head of government.

On Friday, Roman Giertych attached a letter which shows that the District Court was obliged by the District Court to execute the verdict, i.e. detain convicted Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński within three days. Prime Minister Donald Tusk was asked whether PiS politicians should go to prison. The head of government appeared in the Puck district on Saturday.

– Politicians do not replace the courts and I will also adapt and respect the court’s rulings. Regardless of whether I like them or not, replied Donald Tusk firmly.

On Thursday, the Marshal of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, issued decisions regarding the expiry of the parliamentary mandates of Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik. However, he noted that within 10 days the Supreme Court is to address any appeals against this decision if PiS MPs submit them.

Land scandal. A final judgment has been passed

The former head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mariusz Kamiński, and his deputy, Maciej Wąsik, were found guilty of abuses while supervising a special operation regarding the land scandal, i.e. the de-farming of land for a bribe. The District Court in Warsaw validly sentenced them to two years of imprisonment and imposed a five-year ban on them from holding public positions.

Politicians heard the first guilty verdict in this case in 2015. The Warsaw-Śródmieście District Court sentenced them to three years in prison and a ten-year ban on holding public positions. However, their appeal was not considered at that time because they had previously been pardoned by President Andrzej Duda.
