The astronaut lost a tomato. He was found after eight months
A tomato lost eight months ago near the International Space Station was found eight months later. This event is so absurd that it instantly became an Internet hit.
The title of this post is not a joke. It’s about a real tomato, real space and, quite simply, a real event. And although all this may seem like a mediocre joke, in this case reality overtook the world of humor and wit.
A tomato lost in space has been found
The beginning of this extraordinary situation goes back eight months, when a certain Francisco Rubio, an astronaut stationed near the International Space Station (as part of the 68th space expedition), was conducting an experiment in space, as a result of which – as strange as it sounds – he lost a tomato. However, the latest reports from the ISS show that the vegetable has been found and is back in human hands.
However, the tomato lost in space did not find its rightful owner, because Francisco Rubio had already returned to Earth. The vegetable he left near the space station was accidentally found by another crew currently on the ISS.
“Our good friend Frank Rubio has been blamed for eating a tomato for a long time, but now we can exonerate him. We found the tomato he lost,” said astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, during a live broadcast organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the International Space Station.
Well, based on this whole story, a paraphrase of a popular saying comes to mind: what goes in space never dies.
