Benefit amount: what does it depend on?

The amount of unemployment benefit depends on documented work experience.

  • Benefit increased by 120%. unemployed people who have worked for over 20 years will receive from PUP.

  • Basic allowance 100 percent benefits are available to people whose work experience ranges from 5 to 20 years on the labor market

  • Benefit amounting to 80%. benefits will be awarded to people whose work experience does not exceed 5 years

In most cases, the benefit is paid for 6 months, but unemployed people who have a dependent child or live in poviats where the unemployment rate on June 30 of the year preceding the date of acquiring the right to the benefit exceeded 150%. average unemployment rate in the country, can receive benefits for 12 months.

The amount of the benefit from June 1, 2024

At the beginning of June, unemployment benefits will go up and will amount to:

  • PLN 1,209.94 net for the first 3 months of receiving the benefit (with less than 5 years of employment)

  • PLN 1,512.42 net for the first 3 months of receiving the benefit (with 5 to 20 years of employment)

  • PLN 1,814.90 net for the first 3 months of receiving the benefit (with work experience over 20 years)

  • PLN 950.22 net after 90 days (with less than 5 years of employment)

  • PLN 1,187.73 net after 90 days (with 5 to 20 years of employment)

  • PLN 1,814.90 net after 90 days (with more than 20 years of employment).
