On February 1, four months have passed since the launch of the “Active Parent” program, also known as “grandma”. As part of the Program, parents of children up to 35 months of age can use the following options:

“Actively at home” – a parent who stays at home with a child can receive PLN 500 per month,
“Active parents at work” – professionally active parents can receive PLN 1,500 per child, the assumption is that they will finance the work of a nanny or care by their grandmother or other family member,
“Actively in a nursery” – PLN 1,500 will go to parents of children who attend a nursery.

“Grandma”. How much has been paid so far?

Payments of the benefit started at the end of November last year. The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) informs that about PLN 1 billion PLN 153 million has been paid so far. Most, because 483.6 thousand The benefits were paid as part of “Actively in a nursery”, for a total amount of PLN 688 million. 228.1 thousand benefits for a total amount of PLN 362.7 million was paid as part of “Active Parents at work”. The least because 197 thousand benefits for the amount of PLN 101.9 million were paid as part of the “Active at home” option.

ZUS also provides data for January itself. They look as follows:

Actively in the nursery: 177.6 thous. benefits at PLN 266.5 million,
Active parents at work: 81.9 thous. benefits at PLN 132.3 million,
Actively at home: 72.6 thous. benefits for PLN 38.5 million.

The plant reminds that benefits under the “Active Parent” program are paid in a given month for the previous month, i.e. in December for November. Payments of the benefit “actively in the nursery” are scheduled for every 20 days of the month. However, the payment deadline for other benefits is scheduled for the last business day of the month.
