Early retirees will be able to supplement their benefit by approximately PLN 256 more than before. A good change will occur at the beginning of June.

From June 1, monthly earnings limits will change for the so-called early retirees. Exceeding them may result in a reduction or even suspension of pension payments. The first situation occurs when the salary exceeds 70%. the amount of the average monthly salary. In turn, the benefit will be suspended when the payment exceeds 130%. the amount of the average monthly salary.

Currently, the benefit is paid until changes if the remuneration does not exceed PLN 6,438.50 gross. Suspension may occur if the gross amount exceeds PLN 11,957.20. These limits are valid until May 31 this year. From June, it will be PLN 6,694, PLN 10 gross and PLN 12,431.80 gross, respectively. This is due to the fact that the average salary in the first quarter of this year amounted to PLN 9,562.88 gross.

Early retirees will be able to earn more

In practice, this means that from next month, early retirees will be able to earn more. – From June, you will be able to top up your pension or early retirement by approximately PLN 256 more without any negative consequences for the current benefit payment – emphasizes the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).

The new limits will apply until the end of August.

ZUS reminds that retirees who have reached the standard retirement age (65 for men and 60 for women) can earn extra money without any restrictions and do not have to inform about the amount of additional earnings. The restrictions also do not apply to pensioners receiving pensions for war invalids and military invalids whose incapacity for work is related to military service, as well as to persons receiving survivors’ pensions after being entitled to these benefits. Persons receiving a survivor’s pension can also earn extra money without limits if its amount is more favorable than the established pension for reaching the standard retirement age.
