Żabka is making changes to its loyalty program. Customers will no longer be able to share discounts with their loved ones, which could cause their dissatisfaction.
Żabka is planning to introduce significant changes that may not be to the liking of many customers. These changes concern the way loyalty programs are used.
Benefits of collecting Żapps
Żabka, like other popular retail chains, has its own loyalty program. The “Żappka” application allows customers to collect points that can be exchanged for products available in Żabka stores. Additionally, application users have access to special discounts that are not available to people who do not use the program.
Currently, users can share their account with family and friends. Each account has a unique barcode that can be easily copied and shared with others. However, as reported by the instalki.pl portal, Żabka intends to introduce changes to the loyalty program. The update, scheduled for July 17 and 18, will introduce new rules.
No more sharing discounts
Once the changes are made, customers will need to scan a unique QR code generated with each purchase to benefit from the discounts. This means that sharing the loyalty program with others will no longer be possible. This change could be met with dissatisfaction from many customers.
Planned changes to Żabka’s loyalty program may affect the way the “Żappka” application is used. Although the new rules may improve the security and individualization of loyalty programs, many customers may not like them due to the limited possibility of sharing discounts with loved ones.
