YouTube premium will go up in price, we know the new prices. They are high
YouTube Premium is raising subscription prices in many countries. Will Poland also see increases? Discover what changes await users and what features this paid version offers.
YouTube is introducing significant increases in Premium subscription fees in selected countries. These include Italy and Ireland, where users will have to pay around 9-10 PLN more per month. These changes may cause reactions among both current subscribers and those who are considering using the paid version of the service.
What does YouTube Premium offer?
With a YouTube Premium subscription, users can enjoy the lack of ads that often interrupt the viewing of videos. In addition, the paid version gives you the ability to play materials in the background and download them to your device, which allows you to watch offline, without having to access the Internet.
One of the perks of Premium is access to YouTube Music, a music service that competes with platforms like Spotify. Users can listen to music without ads and use the “Audio Only” option, which allows you to save cellular data when playing audio content.
New YouTube Premium Subscription Prices
In Poland, the current fee for an individual YouTube Premium plan is PLN 25.99 per month, while the family plan, which covers up to five people, costs PLN 46.99. A discount is provided for students – after verification, they can use Premium for PLN 14.99 per month.
Although there is no official information about the increases in Poland, in many Western European countries, such as Ireland, Belgium and Italy, prices have already increased. The new rate for individual users is €13.99 (previously €11.99), and for families €25.99 (previously €17.99). This means an increase in costs of around 30-40 percent.
Global hikes: what lies ahead?
Apart from Europe, YouTube Premium price increases have also affected other countries in the world, including Switzerland, Sweden, as well as regions such as the Middle East, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. It seems that Google is trying to increase revenue from this popular service, which raises the question of whether similar increases will soon appear in Poland.
