You must visit this European city in 2025. One Ryanair flight is enough

This time, it was not Paris, Rome or New York that reached the top of the ranking of the best cities in the world. In 2025, the authors of the Lonely Planet guide recommend tourists to take a trip to the south of France to the Occitanie region, where Toulouse, undiscovered by mass tourism, is located. The fourth largest city in the country delights with excellent food, art galleries and picturesque tenement houses. We can fly here directly from Poland with a cheap Ryanair connection.

Toulouse for the weekend

The fourth largest French resort combines both French and Spanish atmosphere. Called the “pink city” or “little Paris”, Toulouse is most beautiful at sunset, when the walls of its coral tenement houses are covered with a delicate rose glow. What else is this city famous for? With students making up up to a quarter of the city’s population, the headquarters of the aviation giant Airbus and the UNESCO-listed Southern Canal, which runs from the capital to the Mediterranean coast, 240 kilometers away. At the moment, direct flights to Toulouse from our country are only offered by low-cost airline Ryanair. The connection from Krakow takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. Flights depart on Saturdays and Mondays, which makes Toulouse a great destination for both a short weekend and a week’s holiday.

Bulgaria, Italy and Spain in the top ten

The Lonely Planet list also includes other cities that are worth taking a closer look at in 2025. Among European destinations, the top ten include Palma de Mallorca (9th place) and Genoa (5th place). In third place was the Bulgarian town of Bansko, which may turn out to be the hit of this year’s ski season. Located at the foot of Pirin, the resort is a sister city of Polish Zakopane. The journey to the Bulgarian mountains from Sofia will take us about two hours. We will fly to the capital of Bulgaria directly from Wrocław, also on board of Ryanair.
