You may not know this spa in Pomerania. It offers beautiful views and modern treatments
Spas in northern Poland are not limited to Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście. It is also worth getting to know the medical offer of a town a little further from the sea, with a modern offer of rehabilitation.
When looking for health resorts in northern Poland, spa guests are most often interested in Kołobrzeg. However, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship there are also other, lesser-known places where it is worth improving your health.
We recently wrote about a fairly new health resort in Dąbki (not to be confused with Dębki), which is located between the sea and Lake Bukowo, in the same province. A little-known health resort is also located on the Szczecin Coast, on the Kamieński Reservoir.
Kamień Pomorski. Spa after renovation, modern treatments
This is the picturesquely situated health resort of Kamień Pomorski, where you can go with a referral from the National Health Fund and the Social Insurance Institution (as part of pension prevention). It has its own deposits of brine and mud, thanks to which it offers popular treatments using natural resources.
Its largest facility is the Mieszko Spa Hospital in Kamień, located in a historic building from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The hospital has recently undergone renovation. The building’s elevation and interior, including the treatment facilities, have gained a new look. Patients can also use the Chrobry Spa Sanatorium with elegant interiors and the Dąbrówka Spa Sanatorium. The latter location will be close to a beautiful marina.
Modern rehabilitation after spinal injury
The center in Kamień Pomorski specializes in rehabilitation programs using the latest technologies – robots. The Research Institute of Innovative Rehabilitation Methods has been operating here since 2017. The goal is to develop the most effective rehabilitation methods after spinal injuries. Patients here use, among other things, exoskeletons – wearable devices that enable walking.
In addition, the spa has, among other things, a swimming pool with brine water with health properties. The facility also offers an atmospheric salt cave, where health-promoting inhalations are conducted. Brine baths are good for, among other things, treating skin problems, relieving muscle and joint pain and strengthening immunity. The offer also includes, among other things, electrotherapy, cryotherapy, massages and therapeutic gymnastics.
