You can easily take your dog to these sanatoriums. Here is a list of cities
Using sanatoriums is very popular in Poland. To go on such a stay, you have to leave your home for at least a week. What if we have a four-legged friend and want to take him with us?
Can you take your dog to a health resort? If you were wondering about this before your trip, we will dispel your doubts. It turns out that although it can be difficult, it is not impossible. There are many cities in Poland where we can find facilities that are friendly to four-legged people. The list includes at least 30 popular places.
To the sanatorium with a dog. That’s how you do it
in Poland there are many health resorts where you can take your pet. However, to take it, you have to meet one condition. You have to find a facility that will accept a furry guest, and that is not impossible. Just visit the website and read the rules for guests or call the reception of the chosen facility. It will be an advantage if we are talking about a guide animal.
Taking a dog or cat with you to a sanatorium will be a bigger problem if you are going to a health resort within the National Health Fund. Private facilities will be more tolerant. They have their own individual regulations, which are much less restrictive than in the case of state facilities.
It is also much easier to take a pet on a traditional vacation. More and more hotels are accepting their presence for a small additional fee. This trend is popular both in Poland and abroad. According to CBOS research, four-legged friends can be found in one third of homes (36%) in our country. Almost every fifth Pole (19%) has a cat at home.
Dogs are welcome here
This year, editors of the portal silver.lelum.pl called sanatoriums that offer stays within the National Health Fund. It turned out that in at least 30 well-known cities in Poland, at least one facility was found that agreed to this. The list included: Augustów, Kołobrzeg, Lądek-Zdrój, Łeba, Stegna, Sopot, Świnoujście, Szczawno-Zdrój, Władysławowo, Ciechocinek, Krynica-Zdrój, Nałęczów, Polanica-Zdrój, Świeradów-Zdrój and Ustroń.
Almost every such facility has a limited number of rooms for people with pets. Making a reservation well in advance will increase the likelihood of getting a place with your dog. Such a stay will also cost extra – usually from PLN 20 to PLN 120 per day. The sanatorium may also demand a deposit for the duration of our stay, in case the pet destroys something.
