Missing one document may mean paying extra on your electricity bills. The deadline expires at the end of June 2026.
Micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and farmers must remember this important obligation. It’s about statement on the maximum price of electricitywhich confirms the right to use preferential electricity rates in the second half of 2024.
In the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024, some consumers paid for electricity at the maximum price of PLN 693/MWh. This was a form of state support that allowed the bills to be reduced despite rising energy costs.

The document must be submitted by micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and farmers who benefited from the maximum electricity price in the second half of 2024. Information about assistance should be provided to the entity providing support, i.e. to your energy supplier.
The seller cannot merely accept the recipient’s declaration without formal confirmation. The preferential electricity price was treated as public aid, therefore it must be properly documented.

If the document is not submitted, the recipient may lose the right to cheaper energy for the specified period. In practice, this means correcting previous settlements and recalculating consumption according to contractual rates.
The consequence may be the need to pay the difference between the maximum price and the price resulting from the contract. In the case of farmers and entrepreneurs, the amounts may range from several to even several dozen thousand zlotys.

The document should be submitted directly to the electricity seller with whom the recipient concluded a contract in the second half of 2024. In most cases, this can be done online, by e-mail, by post or at a customer service point.
The procedure is usually not complicated and takes a few minutes. However, it must be remembered that the lack of formal confirmation is to the detriment of the recipient.

The declaration must be submitted by the end of June 2026. This is important because after the deadline, the energy seller may find that the recipient was not entitled to preferential rates.
The requirement to submit the document results from the Energy Voucher Act and amendments to certain legal acts related to electricity costs.
