Wizz Air suspends the route from Poland to the popular island. The airport will be empty

Wizz Air, Cypr

Tourists from Poland will feel the problems of Wizz Air on their own skin. The popular carrier will suspend its only route from the airport in Radom.

In a few weeks the port in Radom will almost completely desert. No plane will land at a small airport in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship five days a week. All because of the suspension of the Wizz Air route on Cyprus. The low -budget carrier, which is struggling with operational problems, decided to temporarily suspend connections between Radom and Larnaka. According to the aviation market, the last cruise on this section will take place on March 26. If the airline manages to deal with the obstacles, the route will return to the schedule on June 1.

Airport in Radom with one route

Inhabitants of Radom and the surrounding area this spring will be able to see aircraft descending to land only on Tuesdays and Saturdays. These are machines belonging to LOT, which from the end of March to early June will remain the only carrier using the airport in Sadków. All because of the suspension of the only Wizz Air route that operated at the regional port five days a week. This is only deepening the airport’s problems existing for a long time. Ryanair is not planned to place his aircraft there, and in the past the offered connections have resigned, among others Itaka and Anex Tour.

On Cyprus no longer from Radom

From March 26 to at least June 1, 2025, travelers will not benefit from the connection between Radom and Cyprus. This is a blow to many tourists who so far could choose between Chopin, Modlin and Sadkow, focusing on the best price offer.

The connection will return to the schedule (the carrier intends to implement two flights a week on this route in the summer) as soon as the line manages to deal with internal operational problems. These are associated with the detected defects of Pratt & Whitney engines, which Wizz Air uses in its A321neo aircraft. In total, the Hungarian line will ground as many as 40 aircraft operating, among others On routes to Saudi Arabia.
