With these words, the legend heated up the internet. She called Donald Trump a “psychopath”
Donald Trump narrowly escaped death after being attacked during a campaign rally in Butler. Martina Navratilova, meanwhile, has a grudge against the US presidential candidate. It’s about his behavior toward a deceased firefighter.
On Saturday (July 13), the scenes that unfolded in Butler spread around the world. During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump, a candidate for president of the United States, was shot. In the past, the Republican politician held this office from 2017 to 2021, and now he is trying to unseat Joe Biden. However, there was one person who, during Trump’s meeting with voters, was very keen on the death of the 78-year-old. It was Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Navratilova criticizes Trump. Strong words
The assailant’s shot ultimately hit the US presidential candidate in the ear. Crooks was later killed. As a result of his earlier actions, an even greater tragedy occurred. Corey Comperatore, a well-known and beloved Butler firefighter who was protecting his loved ones, was killed.
The horrific incident was later discussed even more, as Trump’s behavior was recalled. The widow of the deceased firefighter, Helen Comperatore, told the media that the politician had not contacted her to offer her condolences, nor had his representatives. One of the greatest legends of women’s tennis, Martina Navratilova, expressed a strong opinion about Trump on social media.
“Trump completely lacks the empathy gene, which makes him a psychopath,” the former tennis player, who has represented the United States internationally since 1981, wrote on the X platform.
Navratilova’s words caused a storm
Many agreed with Navratilova, but some also presented a different version of Trump’s behavior. Internet users indicated under the 18-time Grand Slam singles champion’s post that the 78-year-old would attend Corey Comperatore’s funeral.
It’s not the first time Navratilova has spoken out boldly on social media. But she’s rarely attacked figures as important as Trump. The Prague-born tennis legend knows that many people respect her opinions based on her accomplishments.
