Robert Korzeniowski is a four-time Olympic champion. The great sports figure officially announced that he will run for the position of president of the Polish Olympic Committee.
Let us recall that the head of the Polish Olympic Committee was detained on Thursday (i.e. August 27) by officers of the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime. The action was related to the investigation into the collapsed Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange. He was charged on the same day.
Two days later, the District Court of Katowice-Wschód granted the application for temporary arrest against Radosław Piesiewicz. The President of the Polish Olympic Committee will spend three months in custody.

What’s next for the Polish Olympic Committee? Who knows, perhaps the time has come for Robert Korzeniowski to become president. It is worth noting that there is no more successful Polish athlete in terms of gold medals won at the Olympic Games. Korzeniowski is, of course, a specialist in sports walking.

It is time for consistent actions to rebuild the brand and strengthen the organization. Only by working together will we restore Polish sport to its rightful place! – Korzeniowski said in a special post on social media.
Four Olympic gold medals, three World Championships and two European Championships. These are just a few of the most important successes of the great champion of sports walking.
It is worth adding that Korzeniowski ended his sports career in 2004.
