Visitors should remember the name of this village. The former health resort will soon undergo a real metamorphosis.

The Czarniecka Góra health resort, located near the famous Bartek Oak, may soon attract the attention of visitors from all over Poland. A small village in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship has a chance to compete with Busko-Zdrój or Solec-Zdrój, provided that the necessary infrastructure is built. “The houses and centers used to be wonderful,” recalls one of the residents of the Stąporków commune, where the former center is located, in an interview with TVP 3. PLN 5 million is to be allocated for renovation this year.

A health resort like in the old days

In 2023, the village of Czarniecka Góra, together with the villages of Czarna, Janów and Błotnica, obtained the dream status of a spa protection area. However, this is only the beginning of the small village’s path to attracting spa visitors from all over Poland again. Now the settlement, established in the 19th century, which once became famous for its hydropathic treatment facility, needs a lot of money to be a real competitor to Busko-Zdrój and Solec-Zdrój located in the Świętokrzyskie region. First, you need to install the sewage system, then proceed to the renovation of roads and sidewalks on which future tourists will move. Thanks to them, investors will appear who will build the necessary infrastructure of the center and its reputation. The commune must allocate PLN 5 million for this purpose in 2025, and this is only the first stage of work.

Residents want tourists

Currently, approximately 300 tourists come to Czarniecka Góra every year. Thanks to new investments, there may be much more of them. The idea is supported by residents who have created a group supporting the development of the town. What idea do they have to attract guests? “Building infrastructure, inviting, showing values. There is a saying from the interwar period – whoever comes to Czarniecka Góra once will always come here again,” says Piotr Krajewski, a representative of the associated residents. They point out that despite the passage of time, there is still a reason to come here. The biggest attractions of Czarniecka Góra are clean air, natural mud and dense, old forests. Visitors will also enjoy the proximity of Kielce and the possibility of trips to the famous Polish natural monument – the Bartek Oak.
