Where to go skiing in Poland? These slopes have been appreciated for years
It has long been known that Poles like to go to ski slopes. We explore places both in Poland and abroad. Where is it worth practicing winter sports? There are many possibilities.
What our stay on the slope will look like depends on the location we choose. It is important that it allows not only safe fun, but also peaceful relaxation and offers affordable prices. What’s it like on the slopes in Poland? Which ones do tourists visit most often and where do we recommend going?
Ski slopes in Poland
Usually the ski season in our country starts in the first half of December, so we will start going to the slopes soon. It is worth organizing such, among others: on the occasion of Christmas, New Year’s Eve and winter holidays. You can then not only go skiing, but also enjoy mountain views, go for walks or eat local restaurants. These centers in Poland have particularly good reviews.
Kasprowy Wierch
This slope is unique, among others: because it is the highest located center of this type in Poland. Even President Andrzej Duda himself visits him. Tourists use a total of 14 km of ski slopes on natural snow. There is no shortage of easy and more difficult sections. Intermediate skiers will feel good on the easier Goryczkowa ski slope with a total length of 3,500 m, and experienced skiers will feel good on Goryczkowa. In each case, unique views of the Tatra Mountains add charm to skiing. A skipass, i.e. a skier’s identification card and at the same time a pass enabling the use of facilities in the resort, costs from PLN 99 to PLN 129 for an adult. This season’s opening is scheduled for December 4.
Szrenica Ski Arena in Szklarska Poręba
This year, the resort took second place in the ranking of ski slopes for the 2024/2025 season created by the website kontaktapolisa.pl. The following were taken into account, among others: driving conditions, slope size, slope levels and ski pass prices. It turns out that here unique ski slopes and ideal cross-country skiing routes await tourists. It is also worth adding that this is the largest station of this type in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains. The slope offers 12 km of ski slopes with easy and advanced slopes, and many of them are surrounded by picturesque forests. The price list on the Szrenica Ski Arena website shows that a year ago an adult paid PLN 160 for a full-day pass.
Czarna Góra Resort in Stronie Śląskie
Our list also includes a frequently recommended resort from Lower Silesia, located in the Śnieżnik massif. Czarna Góra Resort is an exceptionally modern resort for skiers and snowboarders, with a variety of terrains. We will take advantage of gentle glades ideal for children, as well as difficult ski slopes – a total of 20 different routes. An additional local attraction is the longest two-person toboggan run in Poland, the Alpine Coaster “Czarna Żmija” – wagons running along a 950-meter track at a speed of up to 40 km/h. Speaking of prices, you can now buy pre-sale tickets with a 10% discount. cheaper. A 7-hour entry costs from PLN 112.50 to PLN 135, but there are many purchasing options.
