What awaits drivers from June 15? Uncertain forecasts

– The current situation is a time of another nervous wait for peace, which may be an argument for a deep price correction – prices of crude oil and finished fuels are clearly falling after signals about a possible breakthrough in peace talks regarding the conflict with Iran – write e-petrol.pl experts.

Although investors are counting on the quick unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz, and the prices of raw materials have dropped below USD 90 per barrel, the market is still waiting for official confirmation of the agreement. If this happens, it will be the reason for a clear change to the negative, but it will also call into question the validity of the functioning of the national Lower Fuel Prices package (CPN), which is valid until June 15, i.e. until next Monday.

Analysts point out that wholesale gasoline prices have increased over the past week. The average price of Pb98 gasoline increased from PLN 5,785 to PLN 5,794.20/cubic m, i.e. by PLN 9.20/cubic m. In turn, Pb95 gasoline increased in price from PLN 5,188.80 to PLN 5,290.20/cubic m, which means an increase by PLN 101.40/cubic m. At the same time, diesel oil became cheaper from PLN 5,673.80 to PLN 5,628.20/m3, i.e. by PLN 45.60/m3, and the price of light fuel oil dropped from PLN 4,708.80 to PLN 4,677.20/m3, i.e. by PLN 31.60/m3.

How much will drivers pay next week?

How much can drivers pay at stations in the coming week? Experts predict that between June 15-21, fuel prices at stations may remain at various levels. Pb98 gasoline is forecast to range from PLN 6.37 to PLN 6.51 per liter, while the popular “95” should cost from PLN 5.84 to PLN 5.97 per liter. In the case of diesel oil, the expected prices range from PLN 6.21 to PLN 6.34 per liter. Drivers using autogas can expect prices ranging from PLN 3.42 to PLN 3.51 per liter. This means that autogas will remain the cheapest fuel, while the highest prices will still apply to Pb98 gasoline.

Analysts warn that the above forecasts concern prices under the terms of the CPN package. Let us recall that it was introduced at the end of March after tensions in the Middle East and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, in order to limit the increase in fuel prices.
