We met the leaders of sustainable development selected in the second edition. ESG code awards distributed.

During the 4th ESG Congress – Europe, which took place on January 29, 2025 in Warsaw, the ESG CODE awards were awarded during the gala. The awards went to people, companies and institutions that are guided by the principles of sustainable development, and their good practices are inspiration for others. Prizes were awarded in five categories: code “Personality 2024”, code “E” (environment), code “S” (society), code “G” (corporate order) and media code ..
The ESG CODE Award Chapter awarded people and organizations for the second time that show that the idea of ESG is not a fashion or top -down coercion, but real benefits for the environment, people and companies. The prize chapter includes representatives of such institutions as: Ombudsman, the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation “Teraz Polska”, Warsaw School of Economics, PRME-Polish Chapter Pripeples for Responsible Management, French-Polish Chamber of Commerce (CCIFP), Forum of response , Institute Humanites, Foundation XBW Ignacy Krasicki, ESG Institute and editors of reportcsr.pl.
– In the second edition we faced a very difficult choice as a chapter. Many were nominated, but all winners are companies and people who, through their activities, strategies and initiatives, prove that the idea of ESG is not fashion or imposed coercion, but a real benefit for the environment, people and business. All our winners focus on sustainable development and are role models – says Urszula Jóźwiak, director of the ESG Institute, organizer of the 4th ESG Congress – Europe.
ESG 2024 Awards
The award was awarded in five categories:
Personality code 2024 – prize
The ESG CODE Award in the “Personality 2024” category has received Maria AndrzejewskaGeneral Director of UNEP GRID Warszawa, for involvement in the field of protection, shaping and use of the environment and its resources. Maria Andrzejewska has been successfully involved in the promotion of the idea of sustainable development for years and is honestly informing about problems threatening our planet. The award was presented by prof. Marcin Wiącek, Ombudsman.
Personality code 2024 – distinction
The ESG code has been awarded in the “Personality 2024” category Zofia Zochniak and Tomasz Bocian – founders of clothes to be given to For consistency, perseverance and a pioneering approach to the second circulation of clothes, supporting the company’s business on sustainable development and a thoughtful approach to consumption, as well as for breaking stereotypes about used clothing. The distinction was presented by prof. Marcin Wiącek, Ombudsman.
Code “E”: Environment
The company was awarded to the prize in this category DS Smith for creating packaging with a view to a changing world, actions to eliminate harmful plastic and replace it with cardboard solutions. During two years of global activity, the company managed to replace over 300 million of problematic plastics with cardboard solutions. Before 2025, the company eliminated 1 billion such packaging. The award was handed by Martyna Pawójna, an international sustainable development expert, founder of Woshwosh.
Code “S”: Society
She received the award in the code “S” Adamed Pharma – for actions taken for social changes and diversity management. Adamed not only cares about drug safety, but also responds to contemporary social problems by implementing educational programs such as Adamed for a senior or deep breath. Particularly noteworthy is the program implemented by the Adamed Foundation – the first comprehensive program in Poland regarding the prevention of suicidal behavior among children and adolescents. The award was presented by prof. Przemysław Litwiniuk, member of the Monetary Policy Council, lecturer at the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Main School of the Countryside Farm in Warsaw.
Code “G”: Corporate order
The award in the “G” code category has received Żabka group For developing and using a number of solutions in the field of comprehensive management and corporate supervision, which is implemented by implementing many initiatives at every level of the organization. It is worth emphasizing that the Żabka group introduced the Code of Ethics and Action not only for its employees, but also for business partners and franchisees. The award was presented by Michał Lipiński, general director of the Polish promotional emblem Foundation “Teraz Polska”.
Media code
Award in the category of the “Media” code from the hands of prof. Piotr Wachowiak, the rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, received Dr. Magdalena Krukowskajournalist forbes, scientist, for reliable information and translation of complexities related to the subject of ESG, expert involvement in the subject of responsible business and sustainable development in the media.
The ESG code awards have been awarded since 2024. In the first edition, they were awarded: in the category of the code “Personality 2023” – Martyna Pawawna, founder of Woshwosh, in the “E” category: Environment – L’Oréal Polska, in the category of code “S”: Society – DHL Parcel Polska, in the CODE category ” G “: Corporate order – BNP Paribas Bank Polska, while in the Media CODE category – Grzegorz Nawacki.
