We know the new coach of Iga Świątek! The suspicions were confirmed

Iga Świątek announced the new head coach on social media. It was the Belgian Wim Fissette.
Wim Fissette is a very experienced coach. After Iga Świątek broke up with Tomasz Wiktorowski, the Belgian was the main candidate to be the 23-year-old’s first coach. The Polish representative spoke about the new cooperation on social media.
Świątek praises Fissette
– I am looking forward to working with Wim. I see a very good approach and vision in him, and an additional advantage is his extensive experience at the highest level in tennis. Of course, it’s always important to get to know each other better, but we’ve had a very good start to our relationship, and I can’t wait to get back to competing, said Świątek.
Fissette is best known for his collaboration with Naomi Osaka, whom he led to victory in two Grand Slam tournaments. His tennis list also includes: Kim Clijsters, Angelique Kerber, and Simona Halep, as well as Qinwen Zheng. The Belgian actually led each of these players to great successes. It is also worth emphasizing that even Kerber achieved success on a surface on which Świątek is not comfortable. We’re talking about grass. The German of Polish origin won Wimbledon while working with the Belgian coach.
Christmas with new energy
We had to wait almost two weeks for the name of the new trainer of the best Polish tennis player. From the beginning of the 2022 season, Świątek cooperated with Tomasz Wiktorowski. This duo has achieved a lot of success, with four Grand Slam titles being the most prominent.
It was under Wiktorowski’s leadership that Świątek became the leader of the WTA rankings and was pushed out of it only for a few weeks. However, a certain formula of cooperation had exhausted itself and the Raszynian decided together with Wiktorowski that it would be best for them to follow new paths.
