Despite positive temperatures, ice rinks in Warsaw are opening one after the other. Soon you will be able to skate, among others: on a decorated slide in the Old Town.

The skating season has started. There is no shortage of places in the capital where you can enjoy this winter attraction for free. We recently wrote about the fact that Warsaw residents can now go to free ice rinks in Bródnowski Park and to smaller ones at the school for the residents of Mokotów.

Where to go ice skating in Warsaw?

Everyone was also waiting for the start of the beloved ice rinks in the Old Town and in front of the Palace of Culture and Science. We learned their opening dates.

The festively decorated ice rink at the Old Town Square will be opened on December 4, at 1:00 p.m. The ice rink in front of the Palace of Culture and Science will also start on Wednesday, at 10:00. Admission to both slides will be free. We will pay for renting the skates in the Old Town, according to the price list, and we will use them in front of the Palace free of charge, with a deposit. There will be quiet hours at the ice rink in Śródmieście.

From Monday, skaters can also go to paid ice rinks. From December 2, from 8:30 a.m. you can ski in Stegny, and in the Moczydło Center from 8:30 a.m. 9:00.

Additionally, the city hall is once again organizing Skating Thursdays for children and teenagers from primary schools at the Stegny ice rink. On selected Thursdays, participants will compete on four distances adapted to the age of the participants. First-graders will race in 50 m, and the oldest in 300 m. Participation in the competition and rental of skates is completely free. There are more events of this type and it is best to look for them on the website of the Warsaw City Hall.
