Warm, cheap, close to the airport. The best summer resort in Europe

The school year is coming to an end, and undecided tourists are looking for cheap destinations for European holidays.

The insurance comparison site Quotezone provides a hint. It created the European Beach Index 2026, which assessed 10 seaside destinations in holiday countries in Europe. The result was determined by air and sea temperature, cost of accommodation and drinks, distance from the nearest airport and average number of five-star reviews

Montenegro. Cheap resort with a beach

The sandy beach of Mogren in Montenegro received the best overall rating. She defeated competitors, including: the average price of 3 nights in a hotel (approx. PLN 955). The average sea water temperature in July is 25.5 degrees Celsius.

It is just a 5-minute walk from Budva’s Old Town and lies at the foot of cliffs sheltering from the wind and sun. It is divided into two bays, separated by a rock cliff with a tunnel. The first part is more popular, while the second is quieter and less crowded. The descent leads along a steep path along the cliff, so it’s better to have comfortable shoes when going there with children. Access to both parts is free, but renting sun loungers and umbrellas costs (from 20-50 euros for the whole day).

Beautiful beaches. Tourists don’t spend much here

The 2nd place was taken by the famous Nissi beach in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. In July, the average sea water temperature is 27.4 degrees Celsius, and the average price for 3 nights in a hotel is approximately PLN 1,566. The podium was closed by the huge Maspalomas beach in Gran Canaria. She received over 5,000. 5-star ratings from beachgoers.
