“Very unprofessional. Bottom”. A Pole disappointed with a well-known carrier

The man warns other passengers against traveling with a known carrier. His ride was suddenly canceled.

Traveling by public transport is not always hassle-free. One of the would-be Flixbus passengers found this out. Traveler and journalist Damian Zawrotniak, who publishes on Instagram as “Mr. Inquisitive”, shared with his followers his memories of the unpleasant situation he encountered after buying tickets for a connection of a popular bus carrier. Unfortunately, the bus did not show up at the station at all.

A Pole complains about Flixbus services

“I don’t know if I will ever go on a Flixbus ride again,” says Damian Zawrotniak, who last weekend had to overcome unusual obstacles that he faced after purchasing tickets for connections of a well-known carrier. The internet journalist was supposed to travel on board a green bus on the night from Friday to Saturday on the Kraków-Toruń route. Unfortunately, an unpleasant surprise awaited him while driving to the station. It turned out that his flight was delayed by two hours. “I thought he was probably coming from abroad, there are various situations there, floods and traffic jams (…). But it turned out that the bus was coming from Zakopane and in fact it had not left Zakopane at all,” Zawrotniak reports in a video published on Instagram.

A moment later, thanks to the carrier’s application, the passenger learned that the bus was delayed by another hour (originally, Flixbus was supposed to leave Krakow at 23:59, the new departure time was estimated at 03:29). The hero of the recording decided to give up the journey and reach Toruń via Warsaw, using night rail transport.

“When I was going to Warsaw, I checked out of curiosity what the delay was like. It turned out that the bus was completely canceled. No information why, no other bus was provided. Some information about how we can apply for a refund. I feel sorry for the people who were waiting there at the station, because I think I was the only one who decided to go through Warsaw. Those people were waiting, but they didn’t get the bus. This is very unprofessional. Bottom line,” sums up the injured party.

Passengers have similar experiences

There were a lot of comments under the video of “Mr. Inquisitive” from people who, like Damian Zawrotniak, had bad memories of traveling with Flixbus. “It’s the coach company that left its passengers at the bus stop. While people went to the toilet, the driver drove away,” recalls one of the Internet users. “There are very unfriendly drivers in this company, I used it once for the first and last time,” says another passenger who decided to travel with a competing company. We wrote to the Flixbus press office about Mr. Damian Zawrotniak and the canceled flight to Toruń.
