Robert Lewandowski will play his last match on Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday evening (May 17). FC Barcelona has made an important announcement.

The Pole says goodbye to the capital of Catalonia after four years. Robert Lewandowski joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2022.

On Saturday (i.e. May 16), the footballer himself announced that he was leaving the Spanish champion’s team as his contract expired, valid until June 2026.

Before the match against Real Betis, a moving message regarding Lewandowski was published on social media. The Pole will start Sunday’s match in the starting lineup.

Barca’s profile reads directly:

“Today we clap for Robert Lewandowski until our hands go numb,” we read on Barca’s social media.

One thing is certain, it will be a special evening for the Pole and Barca fans, who will say goodbye to Lewandowski in his last appearance on the Spotify Camp Nou pitch.

Robert Lewandowski leaves FC Barcelona. What a setting!

What will be the club future of the Polish striker? It’s not clear. According to information provided by the media, Lewandowski is expected to have offers from Saudi Arabia and the United States – looking at the most specific ones here and now. Additionally, in the context of RL9, there has been talk and writing about the Apennine Peninsula in the recent past.

Juventus and AC Milan, however, seem to be – at the moment – far from reaching an agreement with the extremely experienced player.

Regardless of what direction Lewandowski ultimately chooses, Sunday’s (i.e. May 17) match will be the Pole’s symbolic farewell to Barca fans on Spotify Camp Nou. In the last round (i.e. May 23), the Spanish champions will go away to compete with Valencia.
