Urgent announcement from ZUS regarding 800 plus. It’s about paychecks
Submitting an application for 800 plus by April 30 guaranteed continuity of benefit payments. ZUS reminds you about another important deadline, exceeding which may result in the money being lost.
At the beginning of next month, the new 800 plus benefit period will begin. For parents and guardians, this means the need to submit a new application for the allowance. This possibility has been available since the beginning of February.
Data provided by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) show that by the end of April, over 3.5 million applications for 800 plus were submitted for almost 5 million children. – From February 1 to April 29, 2026, the Social Insurance Institution received 3,589,299 applications for childcare benefits for the new benefit period. They include 4,965,806 children – reported ZUS.
800 plus. ZUS reminds you about the next important deadline
Sending the documents by the end of April guaranteed continuity in benefit payments. Submitting an application in May will result in the money being received only in July, but with compensation for June. ZUS reminds you of the next deadline, missing which will result in the money being lost this time. – If the application is received after June 30, the benefit will be available only from the month of submitting the application. In such a situation, there will be no compensation for June – emphasizes the institution.
Data provided to “Wprost” by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy show that approximately 6.7 million children are currently entitled to receive 800 plus. The numbers presented earlier show that the majority of parents and guardians have applied for PLN 800 plus for the new benefit period, but a large group is still delaying it.
Applications for 800 plus can only be submitted electronically. Parents and guardians can benefit from:
-
eZUS platform,
-
mZUS application,
-
Emp@tia portal or
-
electronic banking.
As we recently reported, the Ministry of Family is preparing changes that will provide for the automatic renewal of the right to PLN 800 plus for the next benefit period. The Ministry wants the right to the benefit to be extended annually on the basis of data available to ZUS. For parents and guardians, this would mean no more having to submit an application for each subsequent benefit period.
According to the assumptions, the parent or guardian will still have to submit an application, but only for the first time for a given child. Such a situation would concern, among others, the birth of a child or the return of parents with a child from abroad. After the first application, the benefit would be renewed automatically.
The government wants the changes to come into force in the middle of next year, i.e. at the start of the next benefit period.
