Urgent announcement from well-known banks. Some services will be unavailable on the weekend
Two banks issued urgent announcements before the weekend. Customers must take into account temporary restrictions in access to some services.
Two large banks are warning customers against weekend disruptions. PKO Bank Polski and ING Bank Śląski informed about planned technical works that may temporarily limit access to some services. Both institutions appeal to take care of important matters in advance and not leave them to the last minute.
Technical work
PKO Bank Polski announced technical works on Sunday, March 22, from 00:00 to 12:00. The bank noted that during this time there may be difficulties and temporary restrictions in the use of some services. The message addressed to customers included a clear appeal to complete all important transactions earlier.
At the same time, the bank announced that all cards will work normally in ATMs and stationary stores. In the case of online card payments covered by 3D-Secure 2, only authorization via SMS code and card PIN will be available. However, this does not mean that all services will be available without changes.
During the works, you will not be able to use the iPKO and iPKO biznes online and telephone services. Inteligo’s online and telephone services will also be unavailable. Users will also not use the PKO Junior website and application. The restrictions will also apply to the IKO application. Using it, you will be able to withdraw money from ATMs and pay in stationary and online stores only using BLIK. Other functions are to be unavailable. The bank also announced the lack of access to the iPKO biznes application, the non-functioning open banking function, i.e. Open Banking, and the Allegro Klik service. You will also not be able to pay online via “Pay with iPKO”.
Difficulties in banks
ING Bank Śląski also drew attention to the difficulties this weekend. In this case, the service works are scheduled to last from Saturday, March 21, from 10 p.m. to Sunday, March 22, until 3 a.m. The bank noted that during this time there may be problems with setting up and using a Trusted Profile. Difficulties will also apply to access to government services available in the Node, including KSeF, as well as signing documents with a trusted signature.
ING also recommends that customers use these services at other times. Both announcements show that some digital banking services and related functions may be limited over the coming weekend. For customers, this means the need to plan transfers, logging in to websites, online payments and matters related to the Trusted Profile in advance. In practice, it will be safest to arrange all important operations before the announced work begins.
