Up to PLN 3,500 for a household. Applications can now be submitted
The recruitment of applications for support for some households has started. The allocation of money will depend on income, heating method and heat price.
Rising heating costs can put a heavy burden on home finances. The answer to high bills is to be new support intended for some recipients of system heat. However, receiving the money will not be automatic. Several conditions must be met simultaneously.
The assistance is aimed primarily at residents of apartment blocks and other buildings using municipal or district heating networks. However, heating with system heat alone does not guarantee payment. The single-component net price of heat in a given building must exceed PLN 170 per gigajoule.
Heating voucher 2026. Not everyone will receive the money
Owners of single-family houses who use individual heating sources are excluded from the program. This applies to buildings heated, among others: gas, coal, pellet or heat pump. The amount of expenses they incur does not change this principle.
The next criterion is household income. For a person running a single-person household, the limit is PLN 3,272.69 per month. In a multi-person household, the threshold was set at PLN 2,454.52 per person.
Exceeding the limit does not always mean loss of benefits
People earning slightly more than the indicated limits do not have to automatically lose their right to assistance. When paying out, the “PLN for PLN” principle will be applied. If your income exceeds the applicable threshold, the amount of support granted will be reduced by the amount exceeded.
When considering an application, several elements are important at the same time: income, method of heating the property and the heat price applicable in a specific building. The deadline is also important. Recruitment began at the beginning of July and is expected to last until the end of August.
The application can be submitted online
Documents can be submitted electronically using the mObywatel application, the ePUAP platform or the gov.pl website. Traditional methods are also provided: submitting the application in person at the commune office or sending it by post.
The documents must be accompanied by the required attachments. A certificate from a housing cooperative or community confirming the current heat price is crucial. Without this, the office will not be able to determine the amount of aid due.
Several conditions must be met simultaneously
Therefore, the subsidy is not a universal benefit for all people with high heating expenses. The award is determined primarily by the use of system heat and the appropriately high price of heat, and then by the income situation of the farm.
People who meet the criteria should also pay attention to the deadline for submitting documents. Meeting all the required conditions and submitting the application correctly will allow you to apply for support to cover part of your heating bills.
