Unbeatable Poland at the head of the League of Nations! Another victory of volleyball players
The volleyballers of the Polish national team won the third victory in a row in the League of Nations. This time, the Poles played Turks 3: 0. Poland is undefeated in VNL 2025.
In the context of the initial setting, coach Nikola Grbić focused on the following setting: Michał Gierżot and Rafał Szymura (captain) at the party, the middle is Szymon Jakubiszak and Mateusz Poręba, on the attack Aleks Namevich, playing for Jan Firlej and Mateusz Czunkiewicz at Libero.
League of Nations: Another victory of Poles! Turks without winning a set
It was known before the meeting that Poland was the favorite of the clash. For now, the Turks are mainly gathering experience in the realities of the League of Nations. Not having a single victory, taking the last, 18th place in the table, Turkish volleyball players could only win something. But Poles showed relatively quickly why they are at the other pole, taking the position of the VNL 2025 table leader.
What is certainly valuable, in a broader perspective, is the fact of using more players in match conditions by coach Grbic. Czunkiewicz, another chance of Gierżot, got his time. The latter deserves special recognition, looking at the fact that in the match against Japan he did not show himself from the good side – but against the Turks – he strongly rehabilitated for the previous performance. Gierżot was heavily involved by rivals in the admission element. He also got his own from Firlej to attack. In both cases, it is difficult to accuse the former host of PSG Steel Nysa.
Kewin Sasak scored another successful entrance, this time over a longer distance in the second set. Aleks Namevich also had his good moments, who returned to the field for the attacking Bogdanka Luk Lublin, from the beginning of the third set. And what to hide here, he showed off, among others A great series of effective plays (from 11: 9 to 13: 9), giving more comfort in conducting this meeting by Poles. Szymon Jakubiszak is also a plus. He added not only in the offensive, but also with good work on the block.
It is possible that the Turks are currently two shelves lower than Poles. Coach Grbić, however, can squeeze his tests, getting more valuable answers to the questions. By the way, learning new characters in the national team. Especially in situations such as the ends of sets. On Saturday, Poles played the first batch for advantage (28:26 after the service ace of Gierżota), or close to the result 25:23 (here the party of Gierżot and effective Jakubiszak from the inside).
Captain Szymura adds his solid playing in the next match. And so we could add more elements of this and more pleasant to the eye, a mix of youth with experience, on the Polish side of the net.
VNL 2025: When is the next match of the Polish volleyball team?
On Sunday (i.e. June 15), Poles will play their last match during the tournament in the Chinese Xi’an. Serbia will be the rivals of the team of coach Grbic. Interestingly, the Serbs have been led by this season by a well -known trainer – Gheorghe Cretu. Former coach, among others Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle or PGE Giek Skra Bełchatów started to pull the national team out of the deep crisis … straight from the selector’s homeland successfully leading Poles.
When will the Poland – Serbia match be played? Beginning at 13:00 Polish time. Olympic runners -up will fight for the status of unbeaten after the first VNL 2025 tournament.
