Just before 1:00 p.m. Polish time, two Polish Air Force planes landed in Oman. They will take back to the country people who need evacuation most urgently.

On Thursday morning, two Polish Boeing-737 military planes with a military crew took off for Oman to evacuate Poles from a dangerous region of the Middle East. This applies primarily to people who need to quickly return to the country due to their health. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported over 100 people who need medical support.

The planes took off from the military Okęcie airport in Warsaw after 6:00 a.m., landed in Muscat after 3:30 p.m. local time. Today they are to set off for Poland on their way back.

Evacuation of Poles from Oman. Medical priority

“On Tuesday morning, Air Force planes took off from Poland to support activities related to the evacuation of citizens of the Republic of Poland from the Middle East,” informed the Operational Command of the Armed Forces. The recording shows a Boeing with the tail number 0112, which is used to transport the most important people in the country.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk noted that a military aircraft with medical priority would fly to Oman. He also appealed for other people waiting to be evacuated to understand this situation. “If the plane flies for the sick and there is also room for the healthy, we will evacuate everyone who needs it as much as possible,” he stressed.

PAP informs that in accordance with the resolution from March 5 to March 31, 2026 up to 150 soldiers may be involved in the evacuation from Middle Eastern countries Polish citizens, in particular people requiring medical support.

Returns to Poland. The space above Oman is open

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, announced on Wednesday that 1,428 people are waiting to return in Oman, and the traffic is gradually being relieved by charter planes. The airspace over Oman remains open. The day before, 4 out of 6 Enter Air and Al Arabya planes arrived in Poland. Poles landed in Warsaw and Pyrzowice.

“Further transports through the Muscat airport are being prepared and in the next 3 days about 1,800 Poles will return to the country. At the same time, actions are being taken towards Asia, thanks to which tomorrow the first plane of LOT Polish Airlines will fly to Sri Lanka and then to the Maldives and will bring 250 Polish tourists to the country,” said the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Jakub Rutnicki, on Wednesday after the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
