TV Republika made a huge mistake? It’s about one moment

Jan Kunert, a journalist of “Black and white TVN24”, reports about an unprofessional blunder on TV Republika. A journalist on X who previously checked facts on the Konkret24 portal wrote that Tomasz Sakiewicz’s station showed a fragment of a false recording created using artificial intelligence.

TV Republika posted a fake recording on a news website

“At the beginning of the main service, Telewizja Republika broadcast a fake video, which was shown and explained by Michał Istel just a moment earlier in Fakty TVN,” he wrote. The screenshot he posted shows that it was a fake recording of an “explosion” at the Dubai airport.

This recording was also covered by the previously mentioned Konkret24 portal. “However, a video began to circulate on the Internet, which looks as if it came from a surveillance camera at the Dubai airport. The camera allegedly captured the moment of the attack on the facility. In the popular recording, we observe the check-in area inside a large airport hall. In the third second of the footage, an explosion or impact can be seen, followed by an explosion. Passengers start chaotically running away and hiding,” reads the description.

We also learn that the recording published with a Polish description on March 1 generated almost 150,000 views. views. It also circulated on foreign social media, in one case reaching up to 2 million views. Meanwhile, a fake can be recognized quite easily. On one of the information boards, instead of the words “Check-in”, there is “Check-in Check”. The barriers separating queues also look unnatural. Running people pass through obstacles and take them with them, which completely destroys the credibility of the viewed image.
