Tusk announces billions of tenders. The CPK terminal is getting closer

CPK is looking for a terminal contractor. We know the date of completion of construction. There are billions of zlotys in the game and strict conditions of participation.

The Central Communication Port officially announced the proceedings for the selection of a passenger terminal contractor. The advertisement appeared on May 28 at 22:44 on the company’s purchasing platform. The scope of the order includes the construction of the main terminal together with the necessary infrastructure and land development between Łódź and Warsaw.

Time to report

Potential contractors have time to report until August 29, 2025. However, it is possible to extend this deadline for such a scale projects. The delivery time was scheduled from December 2026, and the completion of construction works was established on December 3, 2031. After this date, technical acceptance, certifications and other procedures before starting the port will start.

As announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the tender is conducted in the competitive dialogue formula. The procedure will be divided into two stages. Three to five companies will be qualified for the second. The value of the tender for the terminal exceeds PLN 5 billion, and the total amount of proceedings announced by CPK in 2025 is to amount to about PLN 30 billion.

Conditions for the Contractor

To proceed to proceedings, companies must meet a number of conditions. It is required to demonstrate annual income at a minimum level of PLN 4 billion in the last four current years and experience in the implementation of at least two construction investments worth at least PLN 300 million net in the aviation or cubature sector. Additional points can be scored for the implementation of airport terminals with a minimum value of PLN 1 billion net in the last 15 years.

The air market in Poland is developing dynamically, which attracts global players. The value of investments of Polish airports exceeds PLN 50 billion. LOT plans to enlarge the fleet by 84 aircraft, and Embraer announces investments in Poland at the level of $ 3 billion. Ryanair also expands its presence, planning to employ 200 people in a service center. All this testifies to the growing role of Poland as a strategic air hub in Europe.
