Tusk and Duda in euphoria after the success of Świątek. “Iga has gone down in history”
Iga Świątek in an amazing style won in the Wimbledon final. Her success is also celebrated by politicians, with Donald Tusk and Andrzej Duda. “Iga has gone down in history, although her story has just started,” the prime minister wrote.
Iga Świątek in the Wimbledon final defeated the Gem Amanda Anisimova without loss. Thus, she won the first title of this legendary tournament for Poland.
Politicians also celebrate the huge success of the Polish tennis player. “Mrs. Igo! Today, at the grassy courts of Wimbledon, you wrote a story – not only Polish sport, but also Polish pride,” President Andrzej Duda said to Świątek. “On behalf of the Commonwealth – thank you! For each point won with Hart Spirit, for tears of emotions that appeared in the eyes of millions of Poles, for the strength that flows from your humility, character and extraordinary talent,” he wrote.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in turn, pointed out that Iga’s match ended with a historic result. “Wimbledon is 148 years old and no one has ever, neither a man nor a woman, has won the finals without the loss of GEMA! Iga has gone down in history, although her story has just started,” said the head of government. After a while he also put a photo … pasta with strawberries, i.e. dishes, which Świątek caused a sensation on Wimbledon. “Enjoy your meal!” – the prime minister added.
“6: 2 6: 0 in the semi -final I 6: 0 6: 0 in the final. Who won Wimbledon? Only Iga dominated in this style during the triumph in the first French Open.
Politicians congratulate you on Świątek
Congratulations to Żega Świątek are given by politicians of every formation. “Something amazing to win Wimbledon in this style,” wrote Minister Marcin Kierwiński. In turn, Tomasz Trela from the left called Świątek “Queen of Wimbledon”, as was PiS MEP Beata Mazurek, for whom Świątek is “Queen of the court, the Queen of London and the Queen of our hearts.” “A great story is happening before our eyes!” – wrote Mateusz Morawiecki. “Iga Świątek wins Wimbledon for the first time and proves to the whole world that there is no impossible for her!” – PiS politician added.
However, PiS MP Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska, in addition to congratulations to Świątek, decided to accuse Tusk of a lie. “Winning Iga Świątek is the second victory in the history of Wimbledon. Of course, huge success and great bows,” she wrote. “And Tusk just has a lie in his blood, a day without lies is a lost day for him,” she said.
However, she drew attention, because the result 6: 0, 6: 0 was already in the finals of the women’s Wimbledon in 1911.
A great break of Iga Świątek
Świątek as a third Polish woman faced the chance of triumph in Wimbledon. Earlier, before the so -called Er Open, in 1937 Jadwiga Jędrzejowska lost in the final battle. And already in more contemporary times Agnieszka Radwańska, in 2012, got about success. Świątek, therefore, erased a bad series of finals with the participation of Polish women in London.
The Polish woman began very hard, in the first set three times breaking the opponent’s service and after 25 minutes winning in an impressive 6: 0 style. It seemed that in the second set such a scenario was simply impossible to implement. And yet, the Polish woman again won 6: 0, closing the final in less than an hour of the game. It was a knockout.
