The media speculate that the first winner in the new FIFA plebiscite may be the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Not only because the politician recently applied for the Nobel Peace Prize, and he is also the leader of one of the host countries of next year’s World Cup.
Journalists also note Trump’s excellent relationship with Infantino. Their manifestation was, among others, the appointment of the US President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, to the board of an educational project whose budget is USD 100 million and is to be partially financed by the sale of tickets for World Cup matches.

The 2026 World Cup will be held in three countries. Apart from the USA, these will be Mexico and Canada. Which US cities will host the World Cup? These will be: Miami, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York/New Jersey, Dallas, Kansas City, Houston, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle. The US has a clear majority in this arrangement. FIFA will therefore need good cooperation with Trump as president.
