Trend for Poland. #Polandmaxxing is conquering the Internet thanks to foreigners

Foreigners admire the everyday life of Poles. Thanks to this, we have our own strong trend on the Internet: #Polandmaxxing. What do they praise the most?

Young foreigners praise traditional Polish cuisine, low prices of dishes, beautiful views, clean streets – everything that Poles are already accustomed to. We consider safe streets even after dark, knowledge of English, fashionably organized public space, and digitization of services as the norm.

Foreigners are delighted with shops literally on every corner, low prices of living, tourist facilities, friendly atmosphere, architecture, job offers consistent with education, “zero sugar juice” i.e. compote, buying tickets on buses, tables and chairs left next to restaurants overnight, and even giving way to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.

Poland deserves “Maxxing”. We chased away the neighbors

After 1989, many Poles wondered when things would finally be normal? Well, it’s official now. Changes in all areas of life that have been ongoing for 37 years have finally produced a visible effect. The popular hashtag ending “-maxxing” is the best proof of this.

It comes from internet slang and means to maximize or take something to its absolute limit. It is about “squeezing” the best out of Poland – presenting it as a modern, clean, safe, prosperous and attractive country to live in.

Until recently, Germany was a model for Poles in terms of living comfort and modernity. A lot has changed. In the Radical Storage to Krakow ranking, it was named the cleanest city in the world. Frankfurt am Main is currently the sixth dirtiest city in the world.

Germany fixated on Poland. The number of tourists is growing rapidly

The German magazine “Die Welt” analyzed this phenomenon and mentioned economic growth, new roads and wisely used EU funding as Poland’s advantages. Statistics don’t lie – Germany’s economic growth in 2026 will be only 0.5%, i.e. 3%. less than Poland.

According to many travel influencers, Poland is a country that “you simply have to visit.” According to estimates of the Polish Tourist Organization, 23 million foreign guests will visit Poland this year. This is almost 3 million more than last year.

An issue often discussed online in the context of Poland is the lack of immigrants compared to Germany or France. This is a debatable issue, considering the fact that there are about a million refugees from Ukraine in Poland, and the same number of economic emigrants from before the war with Russia. The number of emigrants from Asia, South America, Georgia and Belarus is also growing.
