The railway line is being built towards the Sowie Mountains. Soon tourists will be able to go to “Polish Como” by a direct train.

Holidays like in Lombardy, but 60 kilometers from Wrocław? The most beautiful lake of the Sowie Mountains has been attracting tourists with an Italian atmosphere for years. Until now, however, the challenge was to reach the reservoir, which will soon change. The mayor of Bielawa confirms that two new railway stops will be put into use this year. “We will be able to go just under the Bielawskie Lake by train,” says Andrzej Hordyj for Radio Wrocław.

Dolce Vita in Lower Silesia

Higher temperatures re -awakened in Poles the desire to explore the region. It is worth feeling the first rays of the sun on the skin in a unique place, such as the beach on Lake Bielawskie, called “Polish Como”. Although the Lower Silesian reservoir is more than a thousand kilometers from Milan, you can feel the real “Dolce Far Niente”. Families with children know about this, as well as young people who come down here by buses in the summer season. Soon transport over the Bielawska attraction will be even simpler. All thanks to the construction of the railway line, which will connect “Como” with the largest cities of the region.

“Two more stops will be built in the Bielawa commune. One will be called Bielawa Camping Sudete, the other Bielawa Góry Sowie (…). I hope that during the holiday season tourists will be able to get to the camping of Sudete, “says Andrzej Hordyj, mayor of Bielawa in an interview with Radio Wrocław. This is where the entrance to the lake is located.

Change after four decades

Residents are delighted with the idea and consider a change needed. “Until now, the last few hundred meters had to be covered with side paths or the main routes around” – we read. Return of trains to Bielawa after 40 years is not the only surprise that the province has. Soon the route is to be extended, which will allow the compositions to reach Srebrna Góra. “In December, a tender was announced for the next stage of reconstruction,” says Michał Nowakowski from the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship:
